Warm days and great friends

Enjoying a beautiful day and some yummy saskatoons!

Having supper!

Lelu LOVED the tomatoes!

Sawyer LOVED the pizza.

Sawyer's first haircut!

Sawyer had already had her bangs cut about 2 months ago as they were always in her face. However I decided (even though Morgan didn't want me to) to get Sawyer's haircut. I can't believe how fast her hair has grown and how tangly it gets in the back. Needless to say, Carla couldn't cut very much hair off and we still have a tangly mess some mornings. Oh, well.

Sawyer was not too sure about the shiny, pointy scissors coming at her face, but once she found the fish tank she was in heaven. She pointed at the fish for her entire haircut and if Carla's hands got in the way Sawyer would try to move or push them out of the way.

Found the fish!!

"Other people get this done?"

Checking out the other clients.

More fish!!

All done!

Summer Storms

We have had quite a few nasty storms over the last few weeks. Glenn and Glenys were unfortunate to get hit by the tornado, but fortunate that no one or any animals were hurt. The damage is pretty severe but thankfully the restoration company has been out to the house and have got the ball rolling. There were many others hit by the storm and it was great to see the community step in and see where help was needed. The day I took these pictures there was probably a total of 20 something people who stopped by to see how Glenn and Glenys were doing, they are truly blessed by neighbours and a great church family! I know that they are blessed with all of your thoughts and prayers.

Neighbours just down the road.

The neighbours brand new shed - a month old. One wall left standing. The rest of the shed was strewn throughout the field and their trees.

Glenn and Glenys had two bins fall over. At least they fell the 'right' way. The auger was left standing.

The front of their house. Their bedroom is the very fair right one. Morgan and Correna's old room and the kitchen all had water damage.
There used to be a peak over the big windows in the front of the house.  There were so many shingles scattered around the house. There was even a piece of plywood by the bins that were knocked over.

Minor tree damage by the garage.

Some of the trees were completely uprooted.

At the end of the gas tanks there used to be a beautiful gas house.

It was thrown about 30 feet. (I'm not good at guessing distances.) It was tossed over Uncle Roy's brand new semi and trailer and hit nothing but the ground.

Glenys' chicken run. The fence is completely bent over. She might just have free range chickens this year.

A different look at the gas house.

We needed a pick me up, so Sawyer played with Doc for a while. She sure loves him and he loves (well at least tolerates) her.

On the side by side to check damage.

A look out the bedrooms.

The pressure was so strong that it blew out the back window of the green half ton.

The other chicken coup has a new lean.

cousins, trees and popsicles

Enjoying a beautiful day!

A giraffe ride
Playing with Diamond

A huge tree that fell down in front of Grandpa Oliver's after a nasty storm.

Luckily no one was hurt and no damage was done.

Sawyer's first popsicle. She definitely got brain freeze!

Enjoying the stick more than the freezing cold popsicle

What a great child!!
