Spring Cleaning!!

So I'm 99% sure that spring is finally here. Two days ago I killed 4 spiders in our house within 5 minutes. So I think it is safe to say that spring is here!! YAY! So now that spring is here we have many projects to get done. My first project is a herb garden in the backyard. I have to build this garden. But I can't wait to see how it turns out!

I collected 250 bricks from the farm to create my masterpiece. Thank goodness for Bootcamp or I might have been sore after loading them into the truck.

Just started. I can't wait to show you what it looks like with dirt in it. All of the bricks are in place, so now just dirt and plants!

Along with spring comes prepping the yard.

Morgan and Sawyer raked the front lawn. We have a huge tree in the front yard so lots of pine cones.

Sawyer was calling them berries. And LOVED tromping through the nice, neat piles that Morgan had raked up.

Enjoying the nice piles of pine cones.

Cleaning out the sticks.

Calling all geese...

Wednesday was a beautiful day (out of the wind), so Glenys and I took the kids for a walk around Steve and Correna's.

Playing chase

Looking for 'tweet'. Sawyer's word for birds.

Maybe this will bring some geese our way Sawyer!

Bubbles the Baby

Morgan and I spent one night at the farm because his parents were gone. And once calving starts some needs to be at the farm all the time. So we were on call. Bubbles was born at 10 pm and as it was snowing, cold and her mom had left her Morgan brought her into the garage over night. She drank two bottles and was sent back out to her mom.
Meet Bubbles. Yes, Sawyer may have named her but she was terrified of her!

Cooper helping bottle feed.

Finger Painting!

Yes the clothes come off because usually there is more paint on the body than the paper.

Look Mom, only a little bit of paint!

Bud Miller Park

The weather hasn't been super fantastic...some snow and rain, but hey the park is good in rain or shine right?! Sawyer sure seems to think so. We always leave the park kicking and screaming.

Yes, she chose this outfit.

Happy as can be

Hating the swing!

Loving the slide

Not sure about the slide.
Yet another beautiful day in the park.

So serene

Celebration

A couple of weeks ago we went back to Manitoba to celebrate the life of a great man. My Grandpa, William Penner, past away. He was such a loving and compassionate man. As grandkids, we were asked to be his pallbearers. Grandma said that she wanted us to carry him just like how he used to carry us. It was incredibly hard to say goodbye, but I know that he is in such a better place. While celebrating the life of such a great man it was interesting to hear what other people had to say about Grandpa. He was so gentle, truly showed Christ's love for others, exuded compassion, a great role model. The list went on and on.

This was a great reminder for me to reflect on my life. Am I living it in a way that reflects Christ, has great compassion for others? If I were to die tomorrow would I be remembered in such high esteem? I hope that the celebration of Grandpas life will always be a reminder to me to live life fully and always think of others first.

Going to Manitoba of course means lots of visiting with family and friends. And therefore taking pictures...

She has some big shoes to fill...

It was so beautiful (26 degrees) we all wished we had shorts on.

Lots of time spent with Uncle Colin and Scott...more just knocking down their towers I guess.

Darth Cooper - yes, Cooper is wearing a Mr. Potato attachment for Vader tater.

Finally loving Uncle Scott! She couldn't get enough of him.

All smiles with Great Grandma
