The kids and I are heading off to BC in a week and we needed to get ready to watch Uncle Matt play volleyball! Nothing like some homemade Bearcats shirts to get us into the spirit!! YAY!

Door transformation
We have been living in this house for two years come April and the back door has been screaming at me. Seriously, the paint color was awful - so out came some beautiful paint. I had bought this paint with the intention of painting well over a year ago now. But sometimes something you think has a priority really doesn't. Also two kids kinda throws a kink into having a significant amount of time to paint. Nonetheless, I finally got around to painting and I think it looks amazing!!
How gross is that?!! I know, literally screaming at me!
I couldn't wait to take the doorknob and deadbolt off to start the process!
It took two really thick coats to cover the nasty orange color. Thank goodness for the bonsai green!!
Isn't it so much better?!
The front of the back door finished!

When Daddy comes home...
We get to play outside!!
Go for a sled ride!
A long one at that!
More important than sledding...checking on the cows, multiple times.
Playing with the cats while the horses got saddled.
Being so anxious to go horseback riding that she got to sit on JR before Ranger was saddled.
Going to play with the cows
And then just chasing them :)
We had such a great surprise this past weekend as Morgan came home (We were supposed to go up for a visit, but this was so nice)! We cannot wait until he back from school in Edmonton! Thank goodness for great friends who like to visit, and surprises - like visits from Daddy!
Cousins and Painting!!
Over the past few weeks we have tried to keep busy with visiting with cousins, and playing with new toys. For Christmas Sawyer got lots of crayons, markers, and paints from numerous relations. They are so great! She loves organizing more than anything :) This past Monday we went out to the farm to play with Ezra and Ryder. And then a few days later we broke out the paint (which we made into finger paints).
Post nap cartoons...
DORA!!!
Coloring
They play so good together!
Even Buddy was ready to play
I figured that starting out with no shirt would be the easiest to clean...
Sawyer's first experience with paint. SO FUN!
Look at my hands!
May as well paint my hair too, right?!
and my face...
...and my belly...she went straight into the bath after this paint session :)

Trip to Manitoba
The first weekend of January Colin and Lori came up for a visit. It was nice to have adults in the house as I had just dropped Morgan off at school and wasn't quite ready to be alone yet. After a few days in Lloyd we packed up the kids and headed back to Manitoba. We stayed for 2 weeks.
In McDonalds with the iPad that kept Sawyer entertained on our 10 1/2 hours of driving. (The 1/2 hour was to stop for lunch at McDonalds).
Cooper was a great traveller, as was Sawyer.
We did lots of visiting, especially with relatives that we hardly ever see. (Sorry to the Brandon relations - we didn't get any pictures of you).
Watching the train set being built. Great job Uncle Chuck, Britta and Gabi!
Aunt Marlene getting in some snuggles.
Being chased by Uncle 'cott'.
Playing with 'maMA.
Her favorite perch.
Auntie Andrea with Coop.
